TREATMENT OPTIONS
SCRC offers comprehensive, individualised rehabilitation programmes of varying lengths, to accommodate a variety of personal circumstances. Recommendations regarding treatment duration are made by our therapeutic team on a case to case basis.
LENGTH OF TREATMENT
Length of treatment is dependent on various factors, including (but not limited to) the following: affordability, work commitments, children, depth of addiction, period of use, multiple previous treatment attempts, poly-substance abuse, required crisis intervention, personality disorders, pervasive clinical syndromes, sexual abuse, eating disorders, sexual addiction, trauma, self-harm, attitude, level of commitment and work rate.

3 – 6 Month Primary Care Inpatient Treatment

This programme provides the time and opportunity for individuals to uncover and resolve issues that may hinder their forward progress in recovery.The 3 – 6 Month Programme includes
- -Medical, Psychological and Risk Assessments
- -Individualised Treatment Plan
- -Assistance with Postponement of Order
- -Completion of Written Work, including Self-Will Run Riot Assignment, a Life-Story, Steps 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10, Amends Assignment, Additional Tasking and 2 Drug-Related In-House.
- -Didactic Lectures
- -Interactive Group Therapy Sessions
- -Minimum of 1 Individual Session per week
- -Family Sessions
- -Feedback Reports
- -Weekly AA/NA meetings.
- -Supervised Exercise Sessions
- -Outdoor Activities
- -Completion of a detailed Relapse Prevention Plan, Life Plan and Warning Signs document.

6 + Months Long-Term Inpatient Treatment
This programme accommodates individuals who have been identified as requiring further handling and assistance, as a result of mitigating issues – identified during the assessment and treatment process.The 6+ Months Long-Term Programme includes- -Individualised Treatment Plan
- -Completion of 6 Month Programme
- -Assistance with Postponement of Order

Aftercare Support
Aftercare support is directly available through SCRC in the forms of onsite individual counselling sessions, telephonic / online contact and drug testing. SCRC also offers reaffirming ‘Recovery Refresher’ programs, hosted through our Halfway House. Weekly Aftercare groups are run at South City Church (# Recovery) and by other service providers connected with SCRC. HEAL Ministries is an independent organization that works closely with us to provide a free support structure for both recovering addicts and their supporters. HEAL support group meetings are held on a weekly basis in various locations across South Africa. At these meetings, recovering addicts and their families are offered the following support:- -Trained Facilitators
